1. Towable or motorized?
The first fork in the road. Towables need the right tow vehicle; motorized units are self-contained but carry a higher price tag and their own maintenance.
2. How many people are really coming?
Sleeping capacity on the brochure and comfortable capacity on a rainy Tuesday are two different numbers.
3. Where will it live?
Storage costs add up fast. Check your HOA rules and local storage lots before you fall in love with a 40-footer.
4. New or pre-owned?
Both have their place. Show pricing on new units is often the best you will see all year, and pre-owned inventory at the show has already been through a dealer inspection.
5. Have you sat in it?
This is the whole point of a show weekend. Walk fifty floor plans in an afternoon and the right one tends to announce itself.
